Swag Edition

The most used and abused word in the English language is the word swag. I mean everyone including their mother is claiming to have swag, be the definition of swag and be where swag started. Let's keep it real swag  is not just a term that describes someone whose style is on point. Swag is really a state of mind.

Have you ever wondered what really makes Hollywood stars like +Kim Kardashian truly famous. Yes she has swag as well as tons of money to purchase the latest fashions but her true sense of confidence begins within. We have all purchased magazines with celebrities like +Lady Gaga as well as +Beyonce Knowles on the cover. We desire as a part of our everyday lives to have just an ounce of their swagalicious sparkle as we drive to work or have dinner with our families.

It is such a normal thing for us to observe someone else's swagalicious sparkle thinking that maybe that is something we can not achieve. However swag is really about being authentic because most of us are basing our personal norms on the opinions of others. For instance you may have an incredible shape but you are a size 12 so instead of celebrating your curves you wonder what others will think about your outfit. That one outfit that you would have worn in celebration of that gorgeous silhouette God blessed you with would have gotten you more compliments then that size 2 sitting next to you. Remember you may be your own worst critic but that criticism is not doing you any good if you are not celebrating yourself everyday!

 If you are like me and you like your hair too big, your lashes too long, your liner too thick, and wearing too much jewelry then that's your style niche. Be true to your style niche even if you do not know anyone else who rocks that style. That is true swag! You have to really figure out what your angle is on everything style and beauty. Think about yourself like a company. You image is your marketing. When you get it right your swag ratio goes up 100%! Be yourself in every way. The most important thing you will ever do in life is be true to yourself that is what swag is all about.

The thing that we really admire in other people is not their style or clothes it is their ability to translate their personality via fashion, beauty as well as outer personality. Take yourself to the next level of swag!
