Sassy Saturday: Pinktober

This month is breast cancer awareness month so I am rocking my pink proudly. Almost two years ago my sister died of breast cancer and so today not only is October a month to celebrate my birthday but it is also a month to celebrate that one day cancer will not be able to cause any more suffering as we spread awareness across the country. 

I encourage each of you to learn how to do a proper self exam and to also go get your mammogram! It is so important that we start being more proactive as a nation. This fight against cancer is a war that we can win but we must be vigilant over our bodies and prayerful over our nation as we wage this war.

Fashion Friday: 4 Fab Statement Necklaces

A statement necklace glams up any outfit without feeling like too much.

From a little black dress to glamming up a pair of jeans and tank top a statement necklace is the new black! It is so fabulous to have an easy way to make an outfit more amazing. 

If I could give you advice on how to wear a statement necklace I would have to say:

1. Don't be afraid of the size. Just go for it even if you usually wear smaller jewelry the point on the statement necklace is to make a statement.

2. Rock a statement necklace with a simple outfit. I have seen people wear a huge, amazing statement necklace with a pattern dress or an outfit that has a lot going on but that is really not the best bet when it comes to really knocking that look out of the ball park.

One of my favorite things to wear personally would have to be pearl statement necklaces. They add class to any outfit. I am a huge fan of pearls so I am always looking

Thankful Thursday: Find Something to be Thankful For

One of the thing I am the most proud of is how fashion, image and personal brand can change someone's life. A woman will go from frumpy to fabulous in the process of one fly outfit and a great new hair & makeup look. 

It is all about finding the things you like about yourself and celebrating that. I say be thankful for those things. It is so important to celebrate, love and be grateful for every ounce of fabulous that is in your veins.

 LIFE IS TOO SHORT NOT TO HAVE FUN!

I mean there are so many things trying to distract us from knowing our worth and being fulfilled so make it your assignment to find something fabulous about yourself every single day.

I could tell you a million things to be thankful for but one of the most important things you need to honor is your own fabulousness!

Wardrobe Wednesday: Bag-palooza

A 'BAG' attitude is always a great way to express how you feel without saying a work. I always love a great bag and I love to shop for bags more than anything. It always makes me feel good when people compliment me on my bag. Since I was a little girl carrying a purse was one of my favorite things about getting to be a grown up.

Here  are 3 keys to picking a great bag:
1. Once you have your classic bags covered in your collection think ahead. Start looking on +Zappos.com and +JustFab as well as great discount retailers like +T.J.Maxx so that you can buy quality without spending an arm and a leg.

2.Buy what you love and settle for nothing less than what you love! There is nothing more to be said. Stop filling your closet full of pieces and garments that you just like. It winds up being things that you are not pumped to wear which brings down your overall presentation.

3. 2 Trendy bags per season and no more. Now you do know there are tons of categories for bags from tote to clutch and more. But you do not want a bag collection full of trends that die. Focus on classics and build each season.

This large tote is one of my favorites in my collection and it is a basic black and gold that I can carry everything in for a client consult as well as my makeup and all my hair stuff lol. I have had this bag for a couple of years and it has really been a great addition to my collection.

Shoes-day Tuesday: 4 Fab pairs of boots that rock!

Fall is a fabulous time of year for great shoes! I am so excited about these 4 amazing boots from +Vince Camuto , +Betsey Johnson, Zigi Tade, and +ModCloth for Fall 2014. I am all about a great boot and that is the next thing on my shopping list before it get s cold here in Florida. When I think of Fall though I think of fabulous layers, great statement necklaces and of course hot boots!

The most important thing I think is important when you buy a boot is making sure that the fit is great. Stop buying things in a hurry or settling for a boot that you don't love. At the end of the day you want to build a selection of classic and trendy pieces that will last you for a very long time. I hate that feeling when you wake up and hate everything in your closet.

Motivation Monday: The struggle is real!

The struggle is real for me when it comes to health and fitness. It is crazy because I love me and I am comfortable in my skin but I know I need to make better decisions when it come to being healthy. I think all of us have to step back from time to time and re-evaluate because if we never change we never grow. 

I am recommitting myself to myself and to being healthy. I don't want to be back at the space of desperation, hurt and exhaustion because I am not taking care of myself. I don't want to look back and think if only I would have taken care of myself. 

You can't see the bottom of this shirt but it definitely says 'Act like a lady, Think like a Boss'. It's time to BOSS UP! You know get real with myself and really give myself a fighting chance at personal success by being dedicated to making myself better. That is a process but if I just take it day by day I will be successful! 

I am for sure not at the place where competing with someone else matters or being one of the crowd is my goal. To be honest I just want to be at my best. I want to be focused and motivated to be my personal best. I want to look back after 10 years and say I did my best.

It takes guts to be you personal best! What are the things you want to do to improve? What will it take to get you to your personal best? It is all about falling in love with the process!
