Fashion Friday: Functional Style that is Really Functional
Functional fashion is such a hugely debatable topic because there are so many different versions. I will tell you that I am even working on my personal functional fashion game because it is all about rocking life like a runway but sometimes we just don't have any energy so what then? My solution are these three rules to help you overcome your daily fashion woes:
1: Choose easy pieces that create shape and fit well! It is not about hiding it is all about enhancing along with devising a plan for your day to day that captures the beauty of your silhouette.
2. Shop often to save more. Now I know you are thinking say what? But yes keep an eye on your favorite websites, local stores and boutiques. Learn their sale cycles and choose great basics that will keep you looking fabulous.
3. Color pop rocks! Think monochromatic but add in some spice. Now you can do that with your pants, lipstick or even a clutch but whatever you do just go for it!

Fashion Friday: 4 Fab Statement Necklaces
A statement necklace glams up any outfit without feeling like too much.

From a little black dress to glamming up a pair of jeans and tank top a statement necklace is the new black! It is so fabulous to have an easy way to make an outfit more amazing.
If I could give you advice on how to wear a statement necklace I would have to say:
1. Don't be afraid of the size. Just go for it even if you usually wear smaller jewelry the point on the statement necklace is to make a statement.
2. Rock a statement necklace with a simple outfit. I have seen people wear a huge, amazing statement necklace with a pattern dress or an outfit that has a lot going on but that is really not the best bet when it comes to really knocking that look out of the ball park.

Ok girls it is that time of year when we have to start makeup shopping for spring & summer because our skin changes and so does the projection of the sun which means everything from your coverage with your foundation to the products and color selection you wear will change.

Let me walk you through this starting with your lipstick! Here are 4 great shades and in a pink your lipstick can double as blush. You know we all loose things and I am the queen of either loosing my lipstick or my blush!

I will also tell you that you will need a lip liner for the lipstick because it looks crazy being undefined. Some girls feel like they can get away with it and that is ok but in order for you to have an excellent pout you should definitely apply lip liner and really roll it on there because it helps keep the lip shape and definition is so important.

It is time to get gorgeous for spring! I am all about eye shadow as you all know. I love a smokey eye at every time of day but I also love having a choice when it comes to colors so palettes are the way to go for me. These colors are from the Revealed palette by +Coastal Scents Makeup which is a great brand that is very affordable in price. If you notice I chose eyeshadow palettes from different price ranges to be sensitive to people's budgets but I will tell you that in my experience doing hair and makeup +Coastal Scents Makeup, +Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, Lorac, and Smashbox are outstanding with their lasting power.

Everybody knows that every girl's go to dress is a little black dress. I have always been a fan of a LDB but I have to tell you I think you should pick a black dress that has personality. Don't just go pull any black dress off the rack just because it is easy.
Even simple fashion should have some details: lace, button, chiffon
This is my favorite LBD. It fits me perfectly and I can throw a scarf on lots of jewelry or just wear it plain. You see a great Little Black Dress is essential because you don't even have to think when you get dressed and that is the idea behind building a closet full of clothes you love.
