Hot Haute Hot for Spring

Staying current is one of the most important things that a woman can do for herself.  The easiest habit for us to form is getting in the habit of just going with the flow. I totally understand how relaxing that is but at the same time I wonder if you looked in the mirror lately? Are frustrated when you go to your closet in the morning? There is no need for that anymore! 

I am going to catch you up in one short article so that you can be Hot Haute Hot for the rest of this Spring. One of my main points in this article as well as my life is that taking time for yourself is not a sin. All of us get so busy that we forget to value the basics of who we are as women. Fashion seems like just another thing for you to have to keep up with but the act of remembering yourself is really what you are after.

You deserve compliments, adoration and to have your own office fan club when you come in. That being said let's chat about some of the current trends:

Black and White & Bold Prints

Black and White as well as mixed media prints are totally hot haute hot right now! There are so many different fab ways that I am seeing black and white from stripes to mixed media prints. +tracy negoshian friend and designer said that she loves mixed media prints for your wardrobe! Mixing stripes with floral as well as color is such a great way to experiment. I know you may not be in love with the idea of a black and white stripes but try it on. My best advice for everyone and every style is step outside of your comfort zone and try it on.

Peplum

The thing that I love the most about the peplum style is that you are hard pressed to find a body type that it does not flatter. Create an outfit that is sleek and flirty by pairing a single color peplum dress with lucite jewelry or a bold print bag. Fashion and style this season is all about having fun with color.

Color Pop Lip

Those lip smackers should be on fire this Spring! Even +Shandi Finnessey former Miss USA told me that she is loving bright pink lip colors. I totally agree! I am dieing over color pop lips and all that they do to help me shine everyday. You should try it too. From high end +CHANEL lipstick colour Extatique to rushing to the drug store to grab +covergirl cosmetics hot color Flame there is no excuse for you not to have a hot pop of color on those lips.

Chunky Heels & Funky Wedges

My girl LaLa from QueenTrends.com are totally on the same page! One of the biggest obstacles we all have in life is confidence. No matter what outfit you have on or how many millions of dollars your bag cost without the confidence to rock that piece you won't really be killing it in the fashion game. My proclamation to every man and woman across the world is stop holding yourself back!

Limitations and hurdles are just perspectives. If you perceive that there is a mountain in your way then there will always be a mountain in your way. Whether it is wearing color, red lips, keeping your wardrobe replenished or updating your style you deserve to look and feel fabulous. There is no one more amazing than you in this whole wide world.

 I am your biggest fan! No matter what your age is or how stylish you feel I believe that it is time for you to redefine the way you think. You are the only person in your way. You are amazing and you need to start looking at the things you have as well as who you are rather than just focusing on the things you are not. The glass is always half full.

Swag Edition

The most used and abused word in the English language is the word swag. I mean everyone including their mother is claiming to have swag, be the definition of swag and be where swag started. Let's keep it real swag  is not just a term that describes someone whose style is on point. Swag is really a state of mind.

Have you ever wondered what really makes Hollywood stars like +Kim Kardashian truly famous. Yes she has swag as well as tons of money to purchase the latest fashions but her true sense of confidence begins within. We have all purchased magazines with celebrities like +Lady Gaga as well as +Beyonce Knowles on the cover. We desire as a part of our everyday lives to have just an ounce of their swagalicious sparkle as we drive to work or have dinner with our families.

It is such a normal thing for us to observe someone else's swagalicious sparkle thinking that maybe that is something we can not achieve. However swag is really about being authentic because most of us are basing our personal norms on the opinions of others. For instance you may have an incredible shape but you are a size 12 so instead of celebrating your curves you wonder what others will think about your outfit. That one outfit that you would have worn in celebration of that gorgeous silhouette God blessed you with would have gotten you more compliments then that size 2 sitting next to you. Remember you may be your own worst critic but that criticism is not doing you any good if you are not celebrating yourself everyday!

 If you are like me and you like your hair too big, your lashes too long, your liner too thick, and wearing too much jewelry then that's your style niche. Be true to your style niche even if you do not know anyone else who rocks that style. That is true swag! You have to really figure out what your angle is on everything style and beauty. Think about yourself like a company. You image is your marketing. When you get it right your swag ratio goes up 100%! Be yourself in every way. The most important thing you will ever do in life is be true to yourself that is what swag is all about.

The thing that we really admire in other people is not their style or clothes it is their ability to translate their personality via fashion, beauty as well as outer personality. Take yourself to the next level of swag!

Spring into Beauty

Are you ready for Spring Beauty? You know that moment when you pause only to realize it is almost the middle of the next season and you have not updated your cosmetic color palette.  Everything from your tones to your everyday colors are off! All of the sudden it is as if your bronzer isn't bronze enough and you are just confused about how you let yourself get to this point. Usually I am looking in the rear view while driving or caught a glimpse of myself as I am passing a hall mirror. ( Cue horrified reaction and crushing blow to beauty professional's ego ) So this year we are kicking off every season with a beauty bang!

I love the challenges that beauty presents us. Even though it is a daily battle to remember yourself if you make it a game you will always win. It can be so much fun if you take the time to learn new things as well as introduce new colors to your daily beauty routine. Do not be intimidated by the process of taking care of yourself. Your daily journey to beautiful starts on the inside. Your cosmetics as well as your beauty products just allow you to capture the picture of who you are by framing it for the world.

Remember there are some key things to do when changing your cosmetics so that you can Spring into Beauty:

1. Check your moisturizer!

With every season comes a new challenge with your skin. Moisturizer should be a vital part of your daily beauty routine. Make sure you always look for ways to amp up your level of skin care because as our skin ages moisture becomes more important so that your skin remains taught. I use +Cetaphil  on a daily basis and I add a little bit of baby oil for a bit of umph under my eyes. In the Spring and Summer it is really important that you turn up the heat on that bronzer. Cargo Cosmetics has a new water proof bronzer that they recommend we try. 3. Out with the old..... In with the NEW!

Choose to Shine!

Everyday we have a million choices in our closet but most of the time we just don't realize it. There is also the problem of being stuck in a rut. I find that being in a rut is most women's problem or they are hung up on the advice someone gave them a million years ago about a color that looks good on them. It is time to take yourself as well as your wardrobe back. The 1980's called and they want their wardrobe back.

I polled some different celebrities and friends on Twitter asking, "What makes you want to get up and get fabulous in the morning?" I got so many amazing answers and I will share them with you  in this article because I believe that you have to wake up with the intention to shine every morning. Now I know, I know you are thinking or saying, "Is she crazy?"

Yes I might be crazy but if you do not dress for the height you want to achieve you will remain on your current level or dug into your current rut forever. That to me sounds worse then waking up with the full armor of believing in yourself as well as how beautiful you are. Sam  Fine celebrity makeup artist and creative director at Fashion Fair Cosmetics told me that he wakes up inspired by possibility. What an amazing way to look at a new day!

Everyday we have a choice. We can either choose to blend in or we can choose to shine! I am a firm believer that everything from the color I have on to the accessories I choose are saying something about my mood, my vibe, and maybe what inspires me at the moment. I love texture. I adore color pop. For spring I look forward to luxury, creative pedicures, and patent touches on everything. Get over the thought that everything should be easy when it comes to beauty & fashion. Comfort is a curse word in my vocabulary because I think it insights the wrong thought.

For sure there should be something comfortable about your outfit but it can not be all about comfort because that allows you to believe that you are not worthy of being fabulous. I know so many mom's and especially that amazing group of women doesn't give themselves enough credit or budget to create a wardrobe that reflects who they truly want to become. Remember it is not where you start but where you want to finish. Think outside of today. Decide that your personal presentation will be a calling card to the world.
