2014 is going to be amazing! I am already excited! I write this note to each of you today on the eve of a new year to remind you that whatever you want to happen in your life is possible. Stop looking at everyone else's stories wondering why it happened for them and not for you. If your feet are not moving toward progress then that is why it did not happen for you yet. 

Notice the word yet. We all have the potential to be anything we want to be but potential means we have not yet put in the work. Do something everyday even if it is small that takes you just a little closer to your goal. Move away from people who may not even mean to block your vision or overly caution you. Even if you have to spend a few months or weeks alone with your thoughts do whatever it will take to break the chains over your mind and reality.

I have been in preparation for 2014 for months really. Thinking, praying and reflecting on what I wanted to achieve in 2014 but at the end of the day it is about what God will use my talents for. The shift in my life has been to allow my talents to be used on a larger platform so that I could glorify him through it all. No more sharks and alligators surrounding me waiting to bite me at any moment. I had the opportunity to literally see that life is what we will make it.

What do you want for your life? A life full of love, family, progress and possibility or maybe it is something different. Whatever it is you do not need to know anyone else who has achieved that goal and you certainly do not need anyone else's permission. It is all about you in 2014!

I believe in you! You may not believe in you yet but girlfriend you can do it! There is nothing standing in your way. There is nothing to it but to do it. Follow your heart, dance in the rain and stop living a life full of logic. Live a life full of faith, hope and abundance. You were not born to be in pain or to be depressed or even to compare yourself to others. You are an original. You are a couture design created by the hand of God that was sent forth to bless the nations.

We are defined by who we are under pressure because life is what happens while we are planning. Some how we are never taught to pursue the plan. We are only taught to let life happen but I don't want to be a victim of circumstance. I was created to be more than a conqueror. In 2014 my life will be defined by my patience and tenacity intertwined with my unwavering desire to see progress every single day. This New Year I am so focused on ushering in abundance. Above and beyond everything else in my life I truly believe that hair and makeup is great but beauty starts on the inside. 

You may be wondering how image, beauty and fashion work their way into this concept but to me that is obvious. I always say I can paint you to the hilt and throw a pair of thousand dollar heels on you but if you are not centered it all becomes an act. So let's really dissect this truth for a moment. I really feel like it is time to dig deeper and really be honest as we usher in 2014. From the closet to your business both of us need to keep it really real in this upcoming year.

I have to be honest I really started this blog to get all of my thoughts, emotions and inspirations out of my head and into one central space. As I start drafting my book, which will be one of many, I am really starting pushing myself to go beyond logic. I know that that is where I will begin to really see what I am made of. Only there can I really say I am a success of any kind. I feel my heart opening as I prayerfully approach this huge task of being transparent about what I need to do to fight my way to the next level. 

I believe that stepping out on faith is one of the toughest things any woman can do. There are all these emotions that lie underneath our skin. Some of which we never give voice to because we feel that the simple act of desiring more is selfish. I truly know in my heart though that each one of us is worth every ounce of fearless beauty that exists within us but we have to challenge ourselves to get it out. I am  finally understanding what it means to laugh without fear. Girlfriend we are worth it! 

Today I invite you to join me as I continue my push in the New Year for a Personal Revolution! There is no more time to waste. Some of us have wasted 20 years and some of us more than 30 but I myself am over it. I hope you are over wasting time as well.  This year let's see what we can really do. You know we all read these quotes on +Pinterest like 'What would you do if you could not fail' or 'It's about progress not perfection.' Why do we pin it or even like it on someone else's page if we are not going to apply it?

Going beyond the boundaries of reason to love, to live, to treasure everything in our lives, to be a blessing to others and to be beautiful from the inside out is so important. I will not rest this year or any year until I have done all I can. Of course the big man up stairs is in charge but to whom much is given much is required. From our personal presentation to the our daily routine I believe it is time to do our best.

The entire meaning of being beautifully inspired, which is how I think of this blog, is not just about the words but the action. Action speaks louder than words. Why do we admire the initiative others take to create their success yet we continue to stand in our own way? As I sit here in a hotel room looking out the window it all seems so simple. The concept that surrounds progress is often short lived because we start out motivated but forget to prepare our lives for the process.

Thus far in preparation I have cleaned out my closet, de-cluttered my home and am really working to see the truth about why I have missed the mark in the past. Creating a very paced mindset so that I can finish next year strong is my mission. Mind, body, fitness, wardrobe, spirit we have to dig deeper than we ever have before. Remember we can either plan to succeed or plan to fail. Either way we're right. I say we because we are in this together. I myself am making the decision to walk out into no man's land in 2014. I am preparing for a year full of passion, vigor and tenacity. I refuse to attach myself to logic because blessings only happen when you step out on faith.

What will you choose? How far will you push yourself? Whatever you decide I believe you can do it. Remove yourself from people who hold you back and work to infect you with their logic. Walk away from the old you who valued caution more than you valued faith. It is not enough to have potential. It is time to capture your dreams today! I know you can do it!

No matter how you look at it we all want the same thing in life. Feeling like we have tackled everything we were put on this earth to accomplish and empowering others is high on my list. I was created to be a catalyst for change in the lives of others. I was given the gift of love and from an early age trained by my parents to always have faith in others so in turn I truly believe that you can do whatever you put your mind to. Maybe you have not heard it in a while or ever but from me to you I am saying, "Girlfriend get off your couch, step out of your logic and self fulfilling prophecies of doom and get started changing your life! If want success it is not going to knock on your door you have to create it!" 

As we head into Christmas and New Years we enter a shifting season. It is time for gear up for fabulous change in 2014. I continue to encourage you to stop making promises to yourself that you can not or will not keep. Whether it is about your career, fashion, beauty or your social scene I am a firm believer in the beauty of empowering dreams. This year we are preparing ourselves for a Personal Revolution in 2014! Keeping your eyes on the prize will be the most important thing you can do on this journey to the top. 

Set and create goals for yourself while studying on the action of being diligent. You see it is not just about winning anymore. The truth about the entirety of the inspiration behind everything we do is that we must finish the race. The race does not count if you don't finish. That is where we being to understand the importance of goals and pacing. Maybe your goal is to create a wardrobe for yourself that you love, to start a business, get a promotion or go back to school. Not matter what you need to do to get that life prepared for what you want to accomplish imagine how amazing you will feel once you have climbed that mountain.

I do feel that 90% of the dreams and goals that we let go could be the cause of our greatest success if we had of followed through. Letting logic infect your vision is the worst idea I have ever heard. Part of the problem is though we make goals and tell others our visions and then start dragging a thousand pound sake around full of this dream that we just hatched yesterday. Of course you are going to be exhausted from the climb when you have never trained yourself to carry the load. Preparing yourself to carry the load is very important. Think big and don't scale back start training your brain to go forth without fear. Mental preparation is 150% of the battle. 

Your Personal Revolution in 2014 and I am going to keep pushing you every Monday towards accomplishing your goals, thinking bigger, and getting yourself outside of the box. If I would have followed the original plan for my life I would still have been effective but I would not have the impact on the world that I am developing. Your life is your finger print and your statement to the world about what they too can accomplish. I am conscious always that my life tells others that anything is possible!

If you have a 5 and 10 year goal for your life as well as your career you will be inspired to over look the small stuff that will come up. No mountain has ever been climbed with out hurdles being placed in the way or tests of endurance. Because you know what the big picture has for you at the end of the day you won't sweat the small stuff. In my life there is a state of grace that surrounds me because I know what I am here to accomplish and I am set in my goal-getter stance. At that point when anyone comes to plant seeds of negativity or strife it may effect me but it doesn't knock me off my path because I have my eyes on the prize.

No matter what your goals or dreams are work tirelessly to make it all happen! I look to women like +Oprah Winffrey, Tina Turner, +Cindy Trimm, and +Pastor Paula White when I want to be inspired! It is important to link yourself even if it is only via Facebook or +Twitter to women entrepreneurs who have not just fought the good fight but that keep pushing for the next level of their dream. Whether it is business, image, or life strategies there is always another level to achieve! 

So you may be saying where do I start? My answer to you is let yourself get inspired! I know it sounds crazy to say let yourself but often we are the only person standing in our own way. Pick up a few books, fashion magazines or get on +Pinterest so that you can start creating a new visual for yourself. I would recommend checking out +Barnes & Noble to pick up books that will help you design a jumping off point for your vision. Use the +Google Search Engine to begin researching your dream and keep a notebook of the information that you find. I have also created a reading list that will keep me on task throughout next year as well. I encourage you to do whatever it takes to start your journey. 

No plan is fool proof but you can be the fool who has proof that they never tried. Girlfriend you are too good for that! You are too beautiful to never want to pose for a picture and too talented to waste your blessing. Press in! Push harder and do something today that your future self will thank you for.  It is time for you to take the limits off of your mind because you were created to live an abundant life. The real blessing is in the press to get, reach and attain the goal. that is where you develop strength and endurance to help you finish the race.

Well ladies the news is in and it is time to glitter all the way with your holiday glam! Glitter is the hottest word of the day when it comes to beauty and fashion this holiday season. My twitter was blowing up when I started asking my fellow beauty experts & makeup lovers what their go to makeup must haves were for the holiday season. Every single person mentioned makeup with some form of glitter in it.

From glitter eyeliner to loose sparkle dust it's your time to shine at your holiday parties and events! When it comes to glitter eyeliner which was first recommended to me via Twitter by +Motives® Cosmetics & Co-founder of MarketAmerica.com +Loren Ridinger I am in love with Starry Eyes which is a gorgeous silvery liner that will have you looking totally glam. 

Don't get caught up in thinking how will I ever make shiny cosmetics work in pictures? As long as you powder is super matted the portions of your face that are full of shine will illuminate the picture. It is a celebrity carpet secret using illuminators, great shades of bronzers which all have shine within them to help create depth, and glitter laden eye shadow that makes the eye crease just pop. Think of yourself as a celebrity this holiday season.

I want to encourage you to step out of your comfort zone this holiday season. If you are not totally comfortable with lots of sparkle all over your eyes a glitter liner is a great way incorporate a little glamour into your party look. I would also recommend +Too Faced Cosmetics loose glamour dust in Pink Fire or Blue Angel. Take a larger eye shadow brush like 03 or 06 in the Wayne Goss makeup brush set recommended by +Beautylish and dust the inner corners of your eye.  Then swipe the light dust gently on the bottom of your eye crease as well. This beauty statement really looks hot with a smokey eye. The idea is to just a tad sparkle and glitter to your overall appearance/

My beauty pal and fellow makeup artist +Janice Tunnell  who is the co-founder of +Illusions Cosmetics  also recommended the shimmer in  eye dust from their collection. Brass and plum are the two colors I would wear to rock a glamorous smokey eye that has some glittery effect. I am a huge fan of eye shimmer at all times of the year for nightlife events. All That Glitters #HolidayFashion

All That Glitters is truly that hottest holiday trend! When I initially created the concept for this article I got a little overwhelmed because this is truly a no rules kind of season. There initially was no one thing trending so hot that it was ruling the fashion rust but as I dug a little deeper I realized there was something trending it  glitz, glitter and glamour! No matter the hem length or the cut of the dress for your holiday party or soiree make sure your outfit is full of sparkle.

As I worked on my style perspective for the holiday season I knew I needed reinforcements so I called in the big guns my friend and fellow fashion lover Bessie Gianakakis from Bessie's Boutique. Navigating through all of the overwhelming trends was fun as we talked what's hot in the U.S. as well as what coming trends will be fresh from Europe for the spring. We both agreed that dressing to highlight and embrace your curves is the way to go as you glitter through the holiday party scene this year.

Bessie sent over a couple of great holiday pieces from her boutique and online store which I totally adore. I love that the dress on the left which is a steal at $94.50 breaks up the body with a slight halter effect great for those of us with larger shoulders to hide. Famed  fashion stylist June Ambrose also chimed in via Twitter recommending velvet & sparkly frocks. She has styled tons of celebrities like Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston just to name a few. Her shoe line with HSN is great and full of great choices for every season. For a color pop that has a glamorous highlight I would recommend June's shoe Jagger. I love the electric blue with the touch of snake skin. I would pair this shoe with great metal based accessories set to do a chic holiday metal sparkle. Use your imagination to create a vibe for yourself this holiday season! 

Moral of the story is this season you musn't be afraid to sparkle a little brighter darling! It is all about the bling this year for your holiday party. So maybe you are saying to yourself, "I am not really a bling kind of girl?" That is ok darling I am going to show you how vary your outfits by making different pieces of your outfit the focus. 

Make this a holiday season full of sparkle and love! Love yourself enough to sparkle and shine. It is time for you to step out and rock life like a runway. Personal Revolution with Liz Everett Style

A personal revolution can often put an ahh haa moment to shame. There is something to be said for a person's total commitment to a sense of newness in their life as they tread upon the path of success. Your personal revolution is truly a journey that you must take with a distinct air of confidence otherwise your lack of self-assurance will begin to tear at your soul. Some where in your mind you are constantly thinking things like I used to dress better than this or gosh I used to be pretty rather than accepting the newness of today. Taking on the challenge of progress is never easy but to stay at the top of your game it is necessary.

We are going to work today on building an infectious sense of confidence within yourself. Confidence helps you take not just yourself to the next level but the next level in your business, career and in your social circles. Exuding that sense of overall self worth translates into success! Your visual success with your new look, updated beauty concept and personal mission will inspire not only you but everyone around you.

I have realized when it comes to beauty and fashion almost every woman in America makes an excuse to disqualify herself from looking and feeling her best. Seventy percent of the time if not eighty percent of the time when a woman is in conversation with me they are like, "Beauty? Oh I am no beauty queen!" Or they instantly shout out, "When it comes to fashion I am not a size two so maybe I should just wear this over here." Snap out of it ladies! Not many of us are a size two and none of us are perfect yet we are all beautiful so it is time to step out on faith and plan for your visual success in 2014!

As I write this article I am realizing that breaking down fashion and beauty will be a journey we must all take together. There has to be an understanding that in order to generate progress you must desire to transform. Think about next year this time. Do you want to be proud of you progress or hindered by the next looming year thinking about how you wasted the past one. I hope you are saying to yourself, "Enough already! I have wasted enough time!"

If that is how you feel I am here to cheer you on. If you have reservations about committing to revamp yourself I get it but I know that you want a personal revolution to happen. To be honest who doesn't? We all want to be at the top of our fashion and beauty game. There is a feeling of inner confidence that comes from feeling like you look your best. I call that a sense of visual success. Presentation is everything in the world of business as well as general life interactions whether or not you want to admit it. I strive to help each one of my clients understand that change is a must if you want to go to the next level. Mapping out your personal revolution is a step by step design that will help you look and feel your best.

Today we, yes that is right you and I, are going to commit to getting out of our own way! A personal revolution is a moment of truth where you drop all the old and step into the new. However, we have to make a battle plan. I know it sounds crazy that because you are unhappy your are going to buy some new shoes and then it will all be better but yes actually that is exactly what you are going to do.

You and I will be buying new shoes, updating our wardrobe and getting some teeth whitener as well as some new mascara to really get us rocking in 2014. Committing to our personal revolution means that we are declaring war on stagnate behaviors like having a closet full of clothes we don't wear, a makeup bag full of cosmetics we bought 2 years ago and feeling frumpy everyday yet we never try on anything other than our normal run of the mill everyday apparel.

It is time out for shopping at Wal-Mart just because you don't have time. There is no excuse for not taking your life and your look to the next level with your personal revolution plan. This blog is about mapping out a plan to help you capture your dreams. So now is the time that you and I both are saying to the world, "I am  ready to rock life like a runway! I don't just think I can do it, I know I can do it!"

So where do we begin? We will start with the easiest thing. Let's write the vision and make it plain. Here is a quick little exercise to get you on the right page for beginning your journey to fabulous. First you are going to take a piece of  paper out and write down some basic things that you feel are holding you back from being your best and most fashionable self. Here are a few sample questions that will help you get in the mode to self analyze:

Have you given up on yourself?

No matter what your answers are write them down and then flip over to the other side of the sheet. Reflect on your words for a few minutes and then write yourself a letter. Tell yourself how much you are worth which in my opinion girlfriend you are priceless! Your worth is limitless and your beauty is waiting to be uncovered. Outline a vision for the next year and reflect on the new goals you have for yourself. Pin this letter up  on your refrigerator, in your bathroom or frame it and put it on the wall. Put it anywhere you will be forced to look at it and over the next year remind yourself that it is time to be diligent about your change.

This is the first exercise in the Liz Everett Style Personal Revolution series. From here we are shooting for the moon because even if we miss we will land among the stars and truly there are stars hidden within you that we will uncover!
