January 2014 Fierce Fabulous Female of the Moment
Valerie Hayes

Every now and then you meet a woman who inspires you so much that you just want to tell the world. I did an interview this past Monday with female entrepreneur and interview guru +Valerie Hayes. She is to say the least electric, engaging, and genuine. Having been featured on +CNN , +NBC and +Good Morning America just to name a few news/entertainment outlets Valerie is woman who not afraid to dive in and innovate. A truly intelligent woman whose advice I now treasure my time with Valerie was eye opening and I can not wait to share with you what my first Fierce Fabulous Female of the Moment had to share with me.

Our conversation really focused on the inspiration for women who are going into business themselves as well as how she got the inspiration to start her own business. I was really reminded what the basis of everything that impacts business and industry is when I asked Valerie what her most important advice would be to women who were on the verge of taking their own jump into business and her answer was to be bold, brave and execute your personal branding plan. She shared with me how imperative it is to take your time as you develop you branding plan making sure that you adhere expressly to the genuine nature of what you want to achieve for your clients. I love that approach and I believe that little ounce of inspiration will encourage each and every woman who reads this blog to be bold in her approach to business.

An ageless beauty Valerie originally started out in corporate HR training executives on their interview perspectives.  After 20 years of that she decided that start a small side business that soon took off and gave her the opportunity to have more time with her two children. It was important to her that she build an intelligent brand that was articulate as well as approachable. I think that is one of the most important things that any woman in business or who will be making the change into entrepreneurship can adhere to. Approach-ability as well as an approachable visual will engage the clients you seek to attract.

Now working in the entertainment and glamour lifestyle world for many successful years Valerie has coached women of all ages to interview success. Her philosophy is truly a combination of the look, feel and approach-ability quotient that drives her to be the number one coach in the nation. She is truly an inspiration in business and life because she continues to break new ground developing training materials, researching and cultivating the freshest approach to what she does.

No matter what your industry entails staying passionate can be a fight. I asked Valerie what inspired her and she was an open book. She spoke about not being afraid to step outside of the established box and inspiring other women to have the guts to do the same. As we also talked about the importance of image within any female entrepreneurs business I loved her advice to create an iconic, memorable visual for your clients.

What a great way to think about your image. I always say that your image is your calling card and this ageless beauty true embodies all of the ingredients to become an icon herself. I encourage each and every one of you to think about yourself as a brand just as Valerie did when she was ready to step outside of the established box herself. It's time to shine in 2014!
