New Segment #TransformationTUESDAY

New Segment #TransformationTUESDAY

Sharing my journey with you in this new segment called Transformation Tuesday is truly an opportunity for me to inspire both of us. A transformation is defined as a thorough or dramatic change in form or appearance. That being said it is not enough to change your outside if you do not deal with your personal demons or the things you are struggling with.

Goal: Loose 50 Pounds
Time Table: By December 2014
Method: Lifestyle Change & Boot Camp

Truly this segment is not about getting skinny it is about doing my best. It is high time we equate the number on the scale with effort and not worth. What does that mean? When I equate my weight with my worth I am suddenly disqualified and not feeling good in my own skin, having nice things or being fulfilled in life because that number is not what it should be.

Then there is the moment I start to value that number on the scale as a starting point, a place of effort, a fresh start and a moment of truth. I am over that thing inside of each of us that says we are not good enough.

No Makeup, No Filter

I chose share my journey with all of you because I know you are going through the same thing whether it is 5 pounds of 50 pounds maybe even 100 pounds you need to loose you/we have begun to make excuses because in part we are satisfied being in the background.

At the end of the day though I don't care if you have 5 kids or you are 60 years young you are worth the energy it is going to take to transform your life. Stop playing the victim and making that age old excuse about your DNA. Right now it is about setting healthy goals that are going to change your life.

Goal Assessment from My Trainer

Today I am going to start by filling out the goal assessment that my trainer Pattie Connor gave me. I do believe that goal setting is where it all begins. Stop being afraid to set goals because you are afraid to fail.

Failure has plagued my past when it comes to weight loss over the last 7 years. It is now or never. The one thing I am not going to do though is set a time limit of loosing 50 pounds by next week. Not only is that dumb but it is immature and dangerous. Weight loss that is going to last requires work and effort. It requires a lifestyle change not a diet.

This morning at the gym with Pattie

As I stepped into my first day of bootcamp today with New Body Fitness Boot Camp I remembered how strong and capable I am. I will be honest I really don't feel like working out but on the other hand I have to ask myself if I feel like gaining 30 or 40 more pounds because my health has not been impacted yet but it will be.

Right now this is about my future. It is about being at my best and feeling like I am doing my best. I am tired of sitting back when I know that I am a leader so here is where I must have the strength to step forward.

I make no secret of the fact that I write this blog to and for the Proverbs 31 woman in all of us so I have to rely on her for strength in this journey. Please feel free to share your journey with me, follow me on +Instagram as I push forward but start today just by preparing for next Tuesday.

Let's do this together! Here are some questions to get you started on your personal analysis:

1. What are your goals for the future? How has your weight battle held you back or how could it hold you back from accomplishing these goals?

2. How much do you need to loose to be be healthy & fit?

3. What is your biggest stumbling block when it comes to eating right and/or exercising?

4. Is there a local gym near you or a trainer you can talk to so that you can start your journey next week?

I will follow up Thursday to continue helping you prepare for yourself for next Tuesday. We are going to get this Transformation Tuesday movement rocking all across the nation!
